Join us on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 (11:00-18:00) as pioneers and leaders in the hydrogen and fuel cell industry welcome you on-site for this full-day side-event, guided by members of the Invest Vancouver team.

New routes this year: Each of our two Technical Tour routes starts at the Vancouver Convention Centre and proceeds by coach to three different companies. A stop for lunch along the way is included. After a fun and informative day, the tours conclude at the hy-fcell Canada Welcome Reception.

Please note: Tech Tours require a separate ticket. Choice of route cannot be reserved in advance. Upon arrival, we will attempt to place participants on their preferred route.

AVL Fuel Cell Canada

The center of excellence for fuel cell stack research and development of AVL, one of the world’s leading companies for development, simulation, and testing in the transportation industry. BC Research Inc.

BC Research offers pilot plant and laboratory infrastructure to support technologies under development by its clients and partners. It provides an integrated pathway from concept to commercialization. BC Research was an early entrant to the hydrogen economy, and conducts R&D in a number of focus areas, including Hydrogen Membranes, Green hydrogen & Autonomous Laboratories.

Greenlight Innovation

Greenlight makes the tools required to test and commercialize fuel cells and electrolysers. They have been the global leader in testing solutions for the hydrogen industry since 1992, supplying test rigs to the world’s leading universities, government labs, start-ups and multi-national organizations.

Hydrogen In Motion Inc.

Using a groundbreaking new nanomaterial, Hydrogen In Motion Inc. has been at the forefront of addressing the high costs and technical challenges associated with hydrogen storage, transport and distribution for hydrogen projects. This innovative solution allows hydrogen to be stored at densities comparable to conventional 700-bar tanks yet operates at just 50 bar—resulting in tanks that are 30% smaller and half the cost of current high-pressure options.

HTEC’s Clean Hydrogen Production Facility

HTEC is building a hydrogen production facility in Burnaby, BC, to supply low carbon intensity hydrogen to its expanding network of stations, as well as supply offtake to external customers. This facility will be operational in 2025 and offer 1 tonne of clean hydrogen via electrolysis every day, as well as a liquid hydrogen subsystem for an additional 1-tonne-per-day as needed. It is well positioned to support Metro Vancouver’s hydrogen fueling station network.
